How to sell, trade or consign with us
-
1
Fill out the form below and submit some photos of your items. If you have a lot of items, we recommend just submitting 5 photos of your best items. If your items are what we need at the time, you’ll receive a link to book an appointment with us.
Prepare your clothes by giving them a wash. We’re more likely to accept clothes if they’re freshly laundered and in good condition. However we don’t expect you to steam or iron the clothes as we will steam them.

We do not accept walk-in sales; you must have an appointment (refer to step 1). When you visit the store, bring a form of identity. If you have 30 items or less, we’ll assess the items and decide which items to sell and what their price is. You can use that time to run errands or browse the store.
If you have more than 30 items, we’ll decide which items we want to sell but we won’t be able to price them on the same day. Please allow up to one week for us to price your items. You'll receive an email once your items have been priced.

After the items have been priced, you’ll need to sign an agreement form. Alternatively you can reject our offer and keep your items.

Frequently asked questions
How does consignment work exactly?
After you’ve left your items with us, we’ll catalogue and tag them. Once the shop opens, a 9 week consignment period will start:
• 4 weeks at full price
• 2 weeks at 15% off
• 2 weeks at 30% off
• 1 week at 50% off
You’ll receive 50% of the net sales price. Keep an eye on your email, you’ll receive an email whenever an item sells.
Once an item sells you can visit the store to collect your payment. Bring your ID and credit/debit card. Alternatively, we will also process all payments at the end of each month, so you will receive your payment via bank deposit if you don’t collect it in person.
By the end of the consignment period, if you have any unsold items, you’ll have one week to collect them. You should also receive an email if you have any unsold items. You can arrange for someone else to collect them on your behalf but you must let us know via email (hello@in-rotation.com). Any uncollected items will become property of the store and may be donated to charity.
How do you determine the selling price?
Our in-store buyers decide on the selling price based on quality, condition, season and style, and what we think will sell.
I've consigned some pieces and I don't want them to sell at a discount - can I take them back?
You’re able to take back your pieces at any point during the 9 week consignment period - just let a staff member know so that they can remove it from the system.
If you don’t want them to sell at a discount, you’ll need to take note of the date that they will start selling at a discount, and take the pieces back before then.
Why wasn't my item accepted?
There could be numerous reasons as to why your item/s were not accepted.
Our store has very limited space so we have to be very selective about what we take. We can only accept items that we know will sell. What we determine to sell is based on data from previous sales. If we don’t accept your items, please don’t take it personally. It isn’t a reflection of your style and taste - it’s the demographics of the area and the visitors of our store.
It could also be that we have too many items in store already that are similar to what you have or that your items did not meet our criteria.
